I need an answer regarding the use of Artlantis via remote desktop. Previously, with v4 thru v6 (running on Win7 pro), we utilized a small render farm by connecting from our main workstations via remote desktop and thus were able to keep from bogging down our main workstations while rendering. Now, since upgrading to v6.5.2.12 and migrating all render farm machines to Win10 pro(all other specs meet or exceed the recommended requirements), we can no longer use this method as Artlantis crashes while opening and produces a useless error message. As long as I log into the remote machine directly and open/load an .atl file, I can then remote into that machine and Artlantis will work until it either crashes or I try to open a new .atl file(which causes it to stop working again). I submitted a support ticket to Artlantis, and after 10 days I got the following response: « We don’t know if this is the normal behaviour of the application. However officially we don’t support Artlantis via a remote connection. » No help whatsoever! This problem is making Artlantis practically unusable for us, and we are up against a tight deadline. Anyone have any thoughts?
Are you and your team working from different places? Cause setting up a « render farm » with ATL 6.5 is the main new feature. Just install and run the Client app in any Mac of PC within the same network. LAN recommended.
