When I do this in 6.5 there is a 90% the programme will crash.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Don’t quite get what you are trying to do. Are you trying to split sharders ids at the moment you export? What app are you exporting the ATL file from?

In Artlantis you can split material by mesh, this is very handy.
As it goes it does sometimes seem to still work, you split material by mesh, it can take some time, 5 to 10 minutes and artlantis will even go white and say its stopped responding but if you just leave it, it works it out and comes back.
Is there any other forums for artlantis with a little more life?

Sorry for the delay, Split by Mesh should work, it might take a long time depending on the size of your mesh…
Was it more reliable in version 6 or Version 5 ?
Do you have a file with which you have problems that you could send us ?
