Rendering quality issues

Hello
I am new to this forum so I am sorry in advance if this issue has been already raised
I am using artlantis 6 for a while, but cant achieve results I want. The images are just not sharp enugh and there is this ‹ noise › even on shiny surfaces.
I am using quality settings, global sun and jpg image for background. It took about 1 hour 30 minutes for each pic to generate
Do any of you have any advise for me, how could improve my settings?

Hello!

To reduce noise in the interiors in Artlantis 6 -6.5, you do not need to tick the enhanced background…

Thank you so much. It helped me a lot! Issue sorted!

I have also another question. When adding the materials to an organically shaped objects e.g blankets, pillows, apples - the mapping is most of the times really rough. I can see a little triangles or blur, especially on the curves. Is that Artlantis limitation or particular object’s fault - or more likely - I am doing something wrong? Does anybody have a solution for this issue?
Thanks!

You need to set the projection of the texture to UV. To do this select the texture - a dropdown menu will appear on the top right with options like " orthogonal, horizontal" etc. Choose the « UV » option.

If this does not work it means the object is not correctly UV mapped.
UV mapping is done in the modeling software, not in Artlantis.
Consult your modeling software manual for help with UV mapping.

Hope this solves your problem.
Regards.
Jaco.

Hello,
For the triangle problem, you can try to smooth the material, using the slider in the material parameters (cf: screenshot below)

For the overall rendering settings, you will find some useful information in the videos we have uploaded on YouTube ArtlantisMovies:
