Render manager crash

Hi,
I’m user of Artlantis 2020.
During render on Render manager, after 3 minutes it crashed.
I’m using my laptop and desktop computer as a client.
Before I was using Artlantis 6,5 with client network on this machine and everything worked good.

version of Artlantis:
Artlantis 2020 9.0.2.21017
version of client network:
Artlantis-Client-Network-2020.0.21201

Hello,
First you should be using the same version (2020.0.21201) for all the Clients and the Render Manager.
Which platform and OS are you using for the Render Manager and the Clients ?
Did you try to render the same view in Artlantis directly ?

Could you please contact the support and send them your ATLA file zipped, this way we will try to reproduce the issue on our side.

Visualisation released directly from Artlantis goes correctly (but too long)
The problem is only when I want to release visualisation by Render Manager using together my own laptop and second computer remotely connected to internal company network like a Client node.
I would like to make renders faster than directly from artlantis.
In version Artlantis 6,5 which I had before in this way visualisation went 3 times faster than from artlantis directly.

Computer (client node):
Intel Core i7 3,33GHz
Memory RAM 8GB
Windows 10

Laptop:
Intel Core i7 2,8GHz
Memory RAM 32GB
Windows 10

If there is a posibility to receive old version of client network - 2020 9.0.2.21017 which would be compatible with artlantis already installed in my system?
If it will not help I will contact the support and send them atla file.

Hello Artur,

It would be as easier to just update Artlantis and the Render Manager with version 2020.0.21201.
Just use the automatic updater.

Are you using 3D Grass in your file ?

Can you send me the atla file zipped by WeTransfer to sarrut@abvent.fr

Be careful, I’m in the process of uploading a new patch Artlantis 2020.2.21255 because we discovered and fixed 3 problems…
So make sure all your application are the same version.

Why I can’t download automatical update?
I’m going on menu - information - check update and there is error that I’m not connected with Abvent web page.

This is strange.
I have just tested on my Windows Machine using Polish langage and I got the update dialog.
Are you connected to the internet with your machine ? No firewall that might cause the problem ?

Can you try to download the updater manually from artlantis.com/en/artlantis-2020-downloads/ and let me know if it works.

In the meantime, we found an issue with 3D Grass V1 and the Render Manager.
Does your file has 3D Grass shader on a property ?
Is the property visible ?

If you have please replace it by 3D Grass V2 and make the property visible, it should fix the issue until we fix the bug with 3D Grass V1.

Hi,
I dowloaded manually update to version 9.0.2.21255 and installed both program and render client succesfully.
I will work on this configuration and check if everything will work properly.

I made some test and turned off the denoiser. After that render manager work correctly. No crash during process of visualisation.

Hi,
I have still the same problem with Render Manager.
I work now on version Artlantis 2020 9.0.2.21255 both on my laptop and PC (client node)
In Render Manager Window both computer clients are visible and render starts correctly.
After 1-2 minutes of rendering it crashes.

Denoiser is off.

Directly from Artlantis render goes correctly only in Render Manager problem appear.

No, it was new file.
I don’t know what it depends on.

Before contact the support I wanted to do one more test today.
It has been rendered for 20 minut and so far without error.
I will wait untill the render is finished and check if everything is ok.

The image was completely rendered in the render manager.
I don’t know what happened on friday why the render didn’t go but thanks for reply.
