Render[in] 3 Spotlight orientation

Hello

I’m using render[in] and i’m having difficulties about how define the orientation of the spotlight. When you create a spotlight from a face, how do you define the orientation of the light? It’s possible to change? Right now, the spotlight is spawning from a corner of the component…

Thanks for the attention

Hi Reitano,

Yes, you’re right, when i did tried myself, i’ve got below result:

Spotlight Renderin V2 vs V3:

it seems like no matter you trying to rotate the light, it’s always facing away from the camera…

Hi,

I think you should take the last version on the website, we fixed the problem with this new version.

Hi Stephane,

Could you inform us how to replace the old V3 with the new one.
I reinstall it from Windows - Preferences - Install Extensions, but it still say V3.0.0
I also can’t find it in my control panel to uninstall the previous one, any hints will be appreciated, thank you.

Regards,
VD

To uninstall:
C:\Users\You\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp\Plugins
And remove the file Abvent_renderin3.rb and the folder Abvent_Renderin3

To install:
Uncompress the zip file, your extension should be packaged as an .rbz file
In SketchUp, select Window > Preferences (Microsoft Windows)
In the dialog box that appears, select Extensions in the sidebar on the left.
On the Extensions pane, click the Install Extension button.
In the Open dialog box that appears, navigate to the .rbz file saved to your computer, select the file, and click OK (Microsoft Windows).
When SketchUp warns you about installing only extensions from trusted sources, click Yes to proceed and install your extension.
Sometimes you need to relaunch Sketchup

Hello Vidy
In my case, windows
Clear the previous version in Preferences / Extensions
restart, Sketchup, return to Preferences / Extensions and install extension
Just look RBZ, Render IN 3.0.2, and install; work with the same serial activation

Practically indicating Mercheric :sunglasses:

… I’m doing my first tests :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Cheers
Pedro

Thank you Eric, Stephane and Pedro
Will try this…
