Lighting Issues

I am working in Artlantis version 6.5.2.14 and I am having several problems with lighting.

First, we have imported the IES files of all the lights that our lighting designer selected and they are giving us a hard spot of light rather than the soft glow that the lighting designer gets in his software. Because of this issue, I created a test rendering of a simple cube with a roof using multiple lights with everything but the emission setting exactly the same. In the location of the IES fixture, the light is not only harsh and incorrect, but it is also at an odd angle to the angle I’ve specified in the 3D model.

Next, I looked at a small downlight that we have. Again, the IES file is showing incorrectly as it should be pointing down to follow the angle I’ve specified but instead it is pointing up at the roof. Is there no way to control the direction of an IES file fixture?

Finally (for now) our lamp shaders are also creating a speckling on the renderings.

We had hoped to provide our client some very accurate images of his home and proposed lighting, but the results that Artlantis has been providing are severely disappointing! Any advice is welcome!

Hello,

Could you attach your scene as an atla, I will try to understand the problem.
For the speckling on the rendering, what rendering parameters are you using ?

Best regards,
