We have been using Artlantis for over 15 years and have to say the latest version is a real step backwards in terms of lighting and rendering.
The general lighting is completely flat with pixelated textures all over the previews. No sense of depth, it is awful. Please revert back to the lighting as it was in the previous version or I fear that we will be looking at alternative software. We have just upgraded around 8 licenses to the latest version 6.5 and at the moment we have a whole design department full of frustrated designers and a step backwards in terms of the quality of our renderings. We try and provide our clients with great looking renderings of their exhibition stands and unfortunately we are struggling at the moment. What can we do?
Make sure you are not opening ATL 5 files with version 6.5 since it won’t work fue to the change of rendering engine. You should export the files directly to v6.5 from your modeler.
Take a look at this webinar, you’ll understand the changes made in Artlantis. That might help.
