Import from Sketchup

Hello!
I can’t impor objects from skp on Artlantis Render 7. Is that « normal », does artlantis render 7 can´t import skp files to save as artlantsi objects?
I can do it with artlantis studio 6 with no problems. Is this a bug or it just cant’t be done with artlantis render 7?

Sorry I missed your message.
You should be able to import an SKP file in artlantis render 7.
Which version of SKP are you using ?
On which platform are you running artlantis render 7 ?
Could you send one of the SKP file you are trying to import ?

I download sketchup files from it’s 2014 version (3d warehouse sketchup). I’ve been using this with artlantis studio with no problems.
But now i tried other files format, like obj, 3ds, etc, and find out than with my Artlantis Render 7 i can’t import any kind of files.
I tried instal the 6.5 version to test it and with 6.5 i can impor every file with no problems. Only the 7 doesn’t work for me.
My machine is this one:
Workstation Dell Precision T3620
Intel Xeon E3-1240 v6
16 GB DDR
NVIDIA Quadro P600 2GB
Windows 10 PRO

This is very strange.
Do you get an error message ?
How did you install Artlantis Render 7 ?
In the Application folder, there should be a Plugins folder with all the import/export plugins, is it there ?
Could you attach the log file generated when you try to import a file.

It doesn’t give me any error, it simply doesn’t open the file. It looks like it’s go to open but it doesn’t open.
I downloaded the program from the artlantis site.
Where do i find the plugins folder?

I instaled the program on my laptop and it works fine. The diference beetween the too is the windows version. On laptop i have windows 10 HOME and on the workstation i have windows 10 PRO.

can you attach the log file, you can open the log folder using the menu item « Information…/Log files » in Artlantis
it should be called ArtlantisRender7Log.txt
There might be an error in the log that would help find out what is going wrong.

Hello,

Could you try to create a new account with a name without special caractères, yours is Angelo Gonçalves it has ç and A with an accent.
Try TestUser for exemple and launch Artlantis from the TestUser session.

Where do i find TestUser?

you have to create a new User account named TestUser in your system then start this new user session, then start Artlantis and try to import an SKP file.
