If the reduction in render times (very happy about that!!) and the improved artificial lights are the only update then that is all it is - an update - not a new release.
A new release should have new « features » - not only a few improvements.
I’m really not sure about their business model, if I were releasing a new product I’d be letting everyone know of the benefits, changes etc. It’s like here you go, whatever, we’re not really that bothered.
