Artlantis 7 free upgrade ?

Hello everyone

Almost two weeks have passed since Artlantis 7 was announced in the official Abvent’s Facebook page.
Well, I was definitely curious about the upgrade program and here is what I was officially told by Abvent.

I haven’t received any mail since and these past days was the global announcement.

Went to the official Artlantis site, clicked the « coming soon » button that redirected me to the Abvent’s Store. While I was not logged in, there was a « Free upgrade » option that turns unavailable as soon as I logged in…

Anyway, I was forced to pick the one left for 6.X upgrade option. Did all the process, gave my 6.5 serial number and it was still charing 160 EU for what I was told was gonna be free.

Quite frankly, you just never give it straight and clear, Abvent. That’s your bad.

I also understood it is a free upgrade for 6.5 users so I deactivated my 6.5 license and tried to use the serial number for 7 - does not work :question:

The Artlantis Newsletter I received Tuesday says it is free for 6.5 licenses purchased since March 1. So only for very recent purchases.

This feels like a rip off. Like I said in another post Art 7 is not a new version, it is an update improving only 2 things. (by the way - I did a test and could not see any increase in speed). A new version should have new features / functions not only improvements.

I do not use Twinmotion so I’m not interested in Twinlinker and should not have to pay for it.

Art 7 should be called Art 6.6 and should be a free upgrade for ALL 6.5 users.
