Hi,
I have a existing house modelled and in Artlantis 6.5. I am trying to match the photo taken of the house to the camera viewport by usinf site insetion tool. I am having problems with aligning the model to the existing house in the photo. Aligning the axis by green and red line and the model is either too distorted, even gets inputted upside down. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong.
Thankyou
Hi, I’ve done a few insertions but have never used the tool. The best way is to simply mess around with the camera until it looks right. If you know the exact location of the original camera that helps. Also using a foreground image helps with the workflow.

Also it looks like your camera is using a wide-angle, it should be narrower.

Artlantis viewport is on the point from where physical photo was taken. Camera was set at focal 10mm. To take away distortion in Artlantis I set it at 19. Any lower or higher and the building doesn’t line up with the house in photo.
I ended up manually positioning the model to fit.
Thank you for replying too!
Hello,

You can also watch the video at the bottom of the documentation page.
I have tried with a similar building and your image and succeeded to set the camera using the Insertion Tool in Version 6.5.
Best regards,
