Ambience Slider

What has happened to the Ambience slider for textures in version 6.5? I used it quite a lot when determining a level for applied textures, now I have to constantly type differing values in the box . When opening Studio 5 files, even if I delete the texture from the shader altogether, the burnt out image still remains.

I also find that when I open files created with Studio 5 they are initially very dark, then if I open up the camera the ambient texture levels along with lights are incredibly bright and a suitable balance cannot be found using the camera settings.

One other minor but annoying change in version 6, is that you can’t make the 2D window as narrow as you could in Studio 5 which becomes a problem when working on a laptop, as unless you make the preview window very small the 2D window overlaps it.

I downloaded a trial copy of 6.5 to see if the draft preview option would greatly improve the preview refresh rate but sadly for me it still takes too long, so I will have to wait until I get a new computer before I consider upgrading

Hi, I suggest to start new projects in Artlantis 6 instead of continuing Artlantis 5 projects. The engine is completely different and it’s impossible to get similar results with similar settings.
There is no slider for ambient, that’s through, but it works fine in version 6.5. I recommend you to check out the system requirements for Artlantis 6.5 because the draft mode looks to be a good solution for the preview.
